So I found this pillow at Meijer the other night when I was wandering around the bedding aisle. http://www.amazon.com/Obus-Forme-Anti-S ... B000COXYES
It was much cheaper at Meijer, 50 rather than 80! So far I really like it. I am trying different positions with it to see what I like best. Last night I had it at a slight angle so the low spot between the raised corners left room for my mask. The rigid foam in the middle of the pillow is a bit odd, but it does help keep my head at a comfortable angle for back and side sleeping.
Anybody else have some good pillow experiences?
Obusforme Anti-snore Pillow
So far, the $12 tempurpedic knock off pillow I bought last Thursday night at Big Lots has performed as well, if not better, than the $75 Tempurpedic pillow I was using previously.
I think the trick with foam pillows is to just find one that suits YOU. It doesn't have to be expensive, or curved in a special way, or a particular firmness. It just has to make YOU happy. And only you know what that particular configuration is.
Like masks, pillows need to suit the individual. There is no one size fits all.
I like my cheap Nasal Aire II mask - and my el-cheapo foam Big Lots pillow.
Cheers,
Babs

Babs, you are so right! I honestly didn't know how much the pillow was when I took it up to the register, and I bought it because it was so much firmer than the el cheapo version I'd tried earlier. Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to find a cheaper alternative for my next pillow!
On a side note, I'm going to buy a new mattress from Big Lots this weekend. They're having a sale

I like a really firm pillow -- the firmer the better.
Nothing squishy for me. Hubby is just the opposite!!
I would like to get a new mattress but unsure what is best. We have a factory return store here that specializes in new furniture that might have a small flaw or whatever. The have one of the beds like a SleepNumber in a king size for $700. That seems cheap but don't have anything to compare it with and don't know how well the Sleep Number beds are actually liked.
