No humidity?

Post by MWG » Wed Feb 13, 2008 4:08 pm

I have had my machine for about a year. Unlike my first machine and its heater / humidifier that I had for about 5 years the new machine and its counterrpart H/H make very little if no moisture. I have it turned up to the highest temp and still there is no humidity. The old machine had so much humidity that it had rainout all the time but even that was better than what I have now ,cheeks that are stuck to my gums every morning . Does anyone have any suggestions? I probably have a lemon for a H/H.What do ya think?

Nobody has an opinion about a machine that you dont give any details about. Best of luck until you can provide some specific information.

Please do and I am certain you'll get plenty of ideas and suggestions.

Note the water level in the humidifier tank when you go to bed. Check it again when you get up. Is it going down during the night? How much?

Some of us had to switch from the integrated humidifier to the F&P HC150 stand alone HH to get the level of humidified air we require. If your HH is doing all it can, then you might need to consider that option.

Switch to a FF Mask to stop mouthbreathing, your mouth won't be as dry, and your treatment may work. Jim

A FF mask won't stop you mouthbreathing, it'll just stop the CPAP air from escaping when you do. Nor will it stop your mouth being dry if you do mouthbreath.
