Anybody ever trim a Comfortgel?

Trying to get my comfortgel to fit better. The gel pad angles out on the sides but my face doesn't angle in! It indents into my face almost a 1/4 of an inch.

So..wondering if you can trim the gel part or would this cause the gel to start escaping?

Would the boil and fit allow this much of an adjustment to shape of the gel mask?

I would definately not trim it! I don't have my mask in front of me, but I'd say the gel would probably leak out.
On the other hand, I did try boiling my Profile Lite (which has the same kind of gel cushion) without being able to notice much change in the shape/fit.
Maybe some of the lab rats will have a suggestion...
