Rant - Hopefully you'll find this amusing

Post by Babs Who Can't Login » Mon Feb 04, 2008 6:05 pm

Hey, so this is my rant:

I seem to have suddenly hit my stride with CPAP. I'm 100% compliant, I'm waking up perky, my brain is clicking right along, all the bells and whistles seem to be firing.

What's WRONG with this picture?

I'm single, and ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES SEEM TO BE FIRING!

Oy vay, what a WASTE! I should have done this when I was living with the last BF. Oh well, too late, he's found someone else now.

Sigh...

Please. God. Menopause. You PROMISED! I'm 43! It's TIME for all this nonsense to be over with!!!!

Don't make me sleep without my mask! I will do it!

LOL,
Babs

Do you want a slightly used hubby?

I might be able to find you one!!!

I, also, have some single brothers -- one never married (oh wait no hygiene that is why he is single!), one that would be good husband material but is afraid of getting hurt again (was married a long time ago and was burnt bad by that short lived wedded bliss), and one that likes them really young so you would have to lie about your age (he is 49 and he likes them in their 20's).

No no! Thanks anyway!

I just want to have it REMOVED, you know what I mean? Isn't menopause supposed to come along and magically turn me into a girl who couldn't care less?

Oy vay... I had to leave my friend's house before dinner last night - her 20 year old son was just looking TOO GOOD to me. I mumbled something about long drive, dark, early to bed, and skedaddled.

LOL,
Babs

As far as menopause goes -- the doctors have a little operation that will help you with that.

Of course when my mother had it done she completely lost it and never fully regained it so I fought it until I was passing out at school and then finally decided that the doc was right -- let's get it taken care of. Best decision I ever made!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I was warned about that. If you DON'T want to lose it, do make sure you chat with your surgeon about his/her knowledge of female sexual anatomy and his/her ability to NOT cut out the Important Parts. Which are far larger Behind the Scenes than you might imagine.

So, you're advocating Elective Hysterectomy? Hmmmm.... I wonder if Blue Cross would pay for that?

Babs,

My OBGYN told me to see what happened with my mother. She said typically menses stop within a year from when you mother stopped. My mom said she stopped at 58. I pray for it to stop too.

I got remarried at 40. I had been divorced for 9 years at that point. I've been married 4 years now, and I met my hubby on Yahoo Personals. It's a start. You have to weed through a lot of toads, which you can do through the first communications before you meet them. It does require a good BS meter. I went on about 20 dates within 6 months. It was a very interesting time of my life.

Jeff, it's not that I wouldn't mind trying - but A) He doesn't find ME attractive, and B) his girlfriend can take me.

Treesap - My mother stopped at 30-something - hysterectomy. She's no help.

Her mother stopped... God knows when. She had my mother when she was 44. But she's dead now, so I can't ask her.

No more personal ads... I can't take it. Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, and have already recycled it to Goodwill.

I found the last BF just living my life. I figure, if I'm ever going to find another one, that's where I'll find him.

But, that's not really what I want right now. What I want is just to feel perky without thinking about sex every 30 seconds...

LOL,
B.

Babs,

When I said my mother "lost it" I meant she had her first excursion into the mental institutes. She was 39. Right then and there (I was in fifth grade) I swore they would NEVER do that to me as it was no fun being around her and we had a hard life after that -- especially my sister who was around 4 years old at the time.

When I started having problems and the doctors would mention that "H" word around me I would stick my fingers in my ears and start humming NONONONONO -- not really. But I did let them know under no certain terms was I going to have it done and end up in some asylum somewhere. It was not a joke with me I was dead set against it.

My PCP kept her opinions to herself and treated me as best as she could with my adamant NO!!! The last two years were really bad and we tried all different kinds of things to level me out -- and if it was a question of getting fewer and fewer and farther between I would have been fine -- but mine decided to the exact opposite. For awhile I know the Kotex stock had to increase because of me. Even birth control didn't work to slow things down (I had a tubal so wasn't using it for birth control). I passed out at work -- which was extremely embarassing and finally I told my PCP to get me an appointment with an OBY-GYN and get it done!!

Use some fake blood and "faint" a couple of times and it won't be elective.

No, but the she taught me how to spell "weren't"...LOL.

Hell, there wasn't such a thing when I was a kid....that's something rich, religious nutcases thought up because they are afraid of society and don't want to be a part of it.

REMEMBER THIS: "When you take them for better or worse, it is usually for worse." My famous uncle, who owned several beer joints in Tennessee, told me this when I was a young child.
