Are these good numbers?

Post by angimarie » Sat Feb 02, 2008 11:44 pm

Hi,
first week on auto pap. Last night was the first time using my new resmed Mirage? quattro FULL FACE mask. I only clocked 3.3 hours because at some point I apparently ripped it off and when i woke up it was blowing air at the wall.

And oh y eah, I put it in the machine as the "ultra full" is that right?
and, i woke up with a dry mouth?

This is what it says....with the new to me quattro full face mask
I have the resmed auto S8 Vantage -

Pressure 10.2
Leak .22L /s
AHI 3.3
AI 0
HI 3.3

ThANKS!!!!!
-Angi

I'm not an expert, but your leak rate looks high to me. AHI under 5 is supposed to be pretty good, and you have no AI which is excellent! Now you just have to work on keeping that mask on all night!! Best of luck.

60 (sec.) X .22 (LPS) = 13.2 (LPM) That may be over and above what the built-in leak rate is for that setting, but it still sounds like it's within tolerances to me. If the total number was over 20, then it might be considered "high".

That should be the correct setting for the mask.

Your AHI looks good to me. At least it didn't report any apneas and the ResMed machines typically report higher hypopnea numbers.
