Repironics M Series-A Flex with F&P 150 humidifier

Post by SarahF » Thu Jan 31, 2008 7:57 am

I have left a message for the RT with my DME, but if it is like most questions she won't have a clue.

I asked yesterday about a third option for the Comfortlite 2, the Direst seal cushion, and she didn't know so she called her Respironics rep and he didn't know....so I am coming to the place I know I will get an answer.

I have used the A-Flex a few nites without the humidifier, while waiting for the humidifier to come in.

I used both last nite and I seemed to have a harder time breathing. Does the A-Flex still function with the air going thru the humidier then the mask?

TIA

Sarah

I have the M series with cflex and it works just fine. I keep it on 3, but sometimes I accidently turn it down and cant breathe. Check to be sure yours is still on the setting that you want it on.

As RG said... I agree. When the humidifier is in-line, whether filled with water or not, whether turned-on for heat or not air passes through it to the mask. I'm amazed that your DME & RT had no idea.

Just be sure to avoid turning the humdifier switch on to a heat setting without water in the tank.
