RemstarPlus M Series, can I turn off these blinding lights?
RemstarPlus M Series, can I turn off these blinding lights?
I had a code to access the software at one time but now I can't find it. I believe that I read somewhere that turning off the lights was an option in the software..I have to put a book over the darn thing! Can anyone help me out?
An Argile sock works better!! No one has discovered a way to turn them down or off! Some one took his apart and put black tape over the bulbs but I would not advise that as it would void the warrenty for what ever thats worth.

Get Blown!
Gotta have the lights! How else will you find the right button to push when you have to get up in the middle of the night to pee?

Before trying any of the above suggestions - consider just closing your eyes - it works for me.
If you like to sleep with your eyes open the above are a good starting point. You could just unplug the thing too.

I have no doubt, how I sleep affects every waking moment.
I am making progress-NOW I remember that I can't remember

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?

A sock (what I use) or washcloth laid over those annoying blue lights is the easiest solution I've seen. Someone at Respironics thought they were cool and modern, I suppose.

OutaSync, It's the flat one! Why else would they make it flat and the other two round.

Lights? I love em
Poster Josie writes...Personally, I liked the blue lights!
LOL, I think that you and I are in a minority. I like the little blue lights, too
Of course, I was prepared (after reading several M-series-related posts about the blue lights) for some sort of blue UFO death rays firing out of the machine, and burning holes in the ceiling.
Josie continues...Too bad that the blue lights and the small size was all that I could find to like about the "M" that I had.
Sorry it didn't work for you. I've read complaints about noise (either I got a quiet one, or I like some odd sounds) Actually, in true Pavlovian fashion, I need only pick up the mask, and I begin to yawn. I'm only awake for a few minutes before I'm off to pappian-dreamland.
I just love my AFLEX, blue UFO death-ray lights and all, with one, critical exception. The missing data. So, I'm going to do the work-around (and I can't even get THAT to work yet), and just be content (mostly).
Regards all - - Tom

Hiya, Folks.
I must say (and even write!) that the main thing that attracted me to the Remstar was its blue lights. It makes me feel like disco dancing - and anything that sparks me up at my age has to be worthwhile.
At the moment I have my machine on the floor next to my bed, and the lights don't seem to bother me. However, I've noticed several recommendations that I put the hose over my headboard, and it won't fit if I leave the machine on the floor. So, the attractions of disco dancing may fade (as they rapidly did in the seventies - I was MUCH more into punk and blues and jazz) if the lights become more obvious during the night.
I like the idea of an argyle sock - if I get a thin one will I get some sort of multi-coloured lighting effect? Coooool!!!!
Regards,
Dancin' GrizzlyBear
