Bad News/Good News

Post by Sleeping With The Enemy » Thu May 05, 2005 9:04 pm

For those of you who have read my recent posts about my headaches, I finally have an answer.

This morning I had a MRI, unfortunately it shows that I have a tumor that is between my brain and my skull. It is not in my brain but in the right frontal area.

The good news is that they believe it is benign and that it will be easy to remove.

For those of you who are christians, please keep me in your prayers as I go through this...

Thank you.

You will come through this just fine. God will hold your hand every step of the way as you start down this next journey in life.

My prayers are with you.

Best of luck to you. A friend of ours had a tumor that was not benign and that doctors said was inoperable. She kept trying and seeing new doctors and finally found one who said he could do it. He did, and her life was changed completely. Anything can be helped in some way if you persist

Saying a prayer for you each night until we hear back that all went well.

I will be praying for you. I thought I would pass long some scripture that may be helpful...

I Peter 5: 6-7
"Humble yourselves, therefor, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him, for he cares for you."

2 Corinthians 12: 9-10
"But he said to me 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in your weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then am I strong."

Psalm 121

Jeremiah 29:11
"For the I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future."

May you find solace and strength and hope in the giver of life.

Hi Heidi,

I'm sorry to hear about your problem.

My brother-in-law had a malignant tumor removed, radiation & chemo & is now cancer free for quite a few years. There are treatment options and good outcomes for this.

Do what you have done with OSA -- learn as much as you can about treatment options and where the best docs are.

My thoughts are with you.
Sleep well,

power of prayers

Post by tomjax » Fri May 06, 2005 8:36 pm

Whatever it takes for you to come thru, I hope it works.
Prayer or probability and outcome, I am still trying to figure out that one.

Maybe, with enough praying, a Mind may be changed. But I wonder why those who have no prayers survive and others with lots of prayers do not.
Do those who get the most prayers survive and the aethists die at a different rate?

Big questions, few answers. I'm hoping for you anyway.

I know it seems scary right now, but focus on the fact that your headaches may soon be a thing of the past. Wishing you the best!

I'm pretty drugged up on pain medication right now and my head still hurts and scared.

I didn't want to start a debate. I believe in Christ and consider myself a christian, just looking for support from other christians and anyone else, sorry didn't mean to come off like I'm being narrow minded.

Thanks,

Heidi
