Yep, seems to help a lot of people. I got mine last week and I'm using the Peace sent kinda lavendar which has natural calming effects.

What aromas are you using?

I have been thinking of ordering the pursleep. One question though, with the scents, do you only smell it because it is coming thru ur hose or can someone else in the room smell it also.

The aromas do filter into the air in the room but it's not as strong as you experience it. The idea is to put it close enough to the intake on your xPAP machine and let it be drawn in that way. A little goes a long way so a small bottle will last a long time as you're only using 1 - 2 drops at the most. My wife did say she smelled the aroma I was using but found it pleasant since she likes lavender. My wife likes candles so we have a variety of smells around the house from time to time.

Not all sents/aromas will be pleasant to everyone so keep that in mind when you go to make your purchase. I bought the starter set of 3 sents and only tried the one so far. I'm keeping the 'clear' for when I have a cold I think. Not sure about the spice...hmm it's not very popular I feel.

Pur Sleep Scents

Post by kteague » Sun Jan 06, 2008 12:54 am

I received one of the trial packages quite some time ago. Of those 3 my preference was #1 Peace, #2 Clear, #3 Spice. Ran out a while back and have missed having this pleasantry to look forward to at bedtime. I'm not one for "extras" due to my lungs, and I avoid almost all scents, but these do not make me cough. And it feels like I'm pampering myself (which I rarely do), and it makes the whole masking up every night feel less mechanical and less medical, so I just ordered several scents and said "Happy New Year to me!"

Won't fix your mask leaks, but that leaking air sure ought to smell good!

I've used CPAP for 2 yrs, but just last night had my first night using Pur Sleep. I loved the clear! I had the entire family in to sniff the peppermint. My dh liked it very much. It was very nice to sniff peppermint rather than the plastic-y smell or stale air smell. I haven't tried the other scents, but did open them to sample. I thought Paradise and Peace smelled very nice. The orange-y ones I didnt like at all, Comfort was real yucky. IMO!

I used to use it for a while, but wing myself from it, now I sleep just as good without it as I did with it!
