Joining the M-series Auto with A-flex club

Post by wabmorgan » Wed Dec 05, 2007 5:40 pm

Just got a new M series Auto with A-flex.

Got to say.... I am most pleased. (Although, I don't like the humidifier... whomever designed that was an idiot.)

It is much quieter than my REMstar Auto with C-flex. And I could breathe much easier than normal. I also didn't wake up with that bloated feeling I usually have.

I think I am going to like it a lot.

Actually the one thing that made getting to sleep last night hard was... the new machine was so quite that I could hear the noise from the exhaust ports on the mask over the machine.

I had to actually lean over the foot of the bed where I keep my cpap to even hear the new cpap machine.

I have atually felt better today than normal and last night my AHI was only 2.0!!!!!!!!!

Hey now... You know you're supposed to go through The Standard Initiation Ritual for that APAP. You can't just ACQUIRE one. You must be TORTURED by your DME, Sleep Doc, Insurance Provider, the postman, your parish priest, your mother in law, Blah, blah, blah...

Where's the sheep? Someone get the sheep!

Welcome to the club!

Quit badmouthing my cute little HH... Just leave the jug by the cpap and fill it every night, won't kill you.

LOL,
Babs

I got mine in July, and it's finally developed the whine that Snoredog and others have complained about. I blame it on TSA. It never whined before I flew to Alabama with it. Oh dear, why am I hearing the theme to "Deliverance" suddenly?

Anyway, the whine is minor, and I can pretty much ignore it. It's darned near in dog-hearing-only range, so it's mostly irritating to females. I predict the male of the species will be immune to it.

LOL,
Babs

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

It is... I just think the HH is a poor design....

My main complaint on the new hh is the way you have to fill it, I think they should have done something similar to the REMstar TANKS where you push the cpap hose on to top of the HH fill port

Well, since I don't know any different, It's okay with me. I don't think it's the best design, however. I would prefer something that flapped shut so you can ensure non-spillage when putting it in. But I like the small compact size. Suits me very well.

I'm of the non-Aflex loving species, however. It was too weird for me. I'm a C-Flex girl.

LOL,
B.

Funny.... I've really liked the A-flex a lot.

Normally I would wake with that bloated feeling, not all the time but but than I would like.

Thus far, I haven't had that with the A-flex.

Also seems to match my breathing better.

Just dismantle the humidifier, the APAP looks smaller and it's lighter now. Packing my buddy AFlex for a holiday trip in a neighbouring country. Have not use it for months now, I feel OK without humidifier. Only small issue, some rust on the metal plate.

I love AFlex , however CFlex for me would be just fine, is better than nothing at all.

Glad you've got the best machine (in my opinion, anyway)! I've had mine only a couple of months, just love it!! I prefer AFLEX as well, and always use APAP mode. I did replace the humidifier, though, with the F&P 150. Just used my next HH for the first time last night--so far, I prefer it over the integrated one.
