My respironics machine has little white micro-filters that filter out minute particles and I change them every month. I can tell they work as they are a little gray when they are removed. I can personally tell when they are not installed as I can get a little stuffy at times.
YMMV

Try one of these inline filters they work great. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Respir ... -pack.html
Nothing like breathing filtered air. Sometimes when my allergies get to bad I just slip on the hose so I can clear out. Those filters work great. Also might try turning the humidty up a bit. Lastly google neti pot. Saline sinus irrigation works wonders. Went from being stopped up with pressure in the head all the time to being able to breath through my nose all day long. You will probably see a great benefit within a few days of doing the neti rinses. I do it once in the morning and once in the evening. I swear by it. Lastly if you still get no relief I pop a mucinex from time to time to thin out the mucus. I happen to live in Texas and have allergies pretty much year round. These are the things that seem to make it bearable for me. Good luck hope the info helps.
