Liberty question

Post by Idget » Sun Dec 02, 2007 1:10 pm

I tried the Swift II but thinking of going back to my Liberty. The liberty doesn't work for me as a side sleeper and I was starting to get good results with the liberty. Just wanted to see what it would be like to have a nose pillow only. Like some things about it, but with mouth taping and chin straps it equaled the liberty in prep time anyway. I have a question, I got the impression in some posts that some were using a chinstrap with liberty. Thought it was a full face and don't need a chinstrap; however, will there be better results if I don't mouth breath with the liberty and only use the nasal pillows.

I don't know if you would get better results with a chin strap but I LOVE my liberty. I had always used a nose mask and had to tape my mouth. I hated it. My liberty is quieter, doesn't blow air in my eyes and NO taping. I side sleep and have no problems. My pressure is 14.

Idget, if you want to use your Liberty as a nasal pillows mask, try applying Saran warp or vet warp to the mouth cushion, worked for me.

I wore a chinstrap with my liberty. I ended up going back to the Hybrid with a chinflap. The chinstrap was just to halt the leaks around my jaw. It didn't work as well as a chinflap , but it does make the mask a bit more sturdy and lesson leaks.
