DME recommendation in Oklahoma City, no longer the same.

When I found the most helpful DME I could have found back in February, I was telling the world. Due to changes in their business and the most wonderful RT in the world leaving the company in July, I have definitely changed my mind, and want the world to know.

Pathways Respiratory has been sold as of Nov. 28, 2007 and is now a part of Focus Home Medical. I can not give any information about Focus, I have never used their services and have only talked them on the phone once. I can say this, the buyout has some legal implications to it that it may not be above board with the insurance companies and insurance commission.

My Recommendation for anyone in this area that is looking for a brick and mortar DME is Medi-Serv. Contact information is below, the most wonderful RT I have had is now working there and I will be transferring my business to them in January when my insurance changes. I'm just glad I will no longer have to deal with Pathways.

The reason I won't be using Focus (other than the fact that they don't have the best RT I have ever met on their staff) is they are in a suburb west of Oklahoma City, and I live East of Oklahoma City. They are about 30 miles from here. They also don't have the personal touch, I called during business hours on Thursday to request my medical records be ready for me to pick up since I won't be doing business with them and the have a computer answering the phone and taking voice mails. They don't answer the phone, they have all calls going to voice mail and you have to wait for a callback. I don't do business with folks that don't have any other options when you call.
