is there some kind of cool vaporizer injector I can use on my cpap machine. When winter comes on the heated air is so dry I can't use my machine for more than an hour.Resmed says that if you use a vaporizer too close to the air machine it will break.

I would suggest a heated or unheated humidifier that will fit your machine. It will add moisture to the air you are breathing in. Makes it much more comfortable and more likely for you to be compliant with the treatment.

A humidifier should be just the thing. ResMed makes heated (moistens air by warming it) or passover (water is moistened as it "passes over" cold air) humidifiers. Even with the heated humidifiers, the air does not get hot or really very warm for that matter, but it does add a bit of moisture. Passover humidifiers do essentially the same thing but don't heat the air. It's really a matter of personal preference as to which one works best for you. The good thing is if you buy a heated humidifier, you can turn it to 0 and use it as a passover anyway. What you need to set it on may fluctuate between seasons. I've experimented with changing the settings on many an occasion. Over the summer when the air is so humid, I turned it all the way off and used it as a passover. Now that it's late fall and the temperature is dropping and the heat is on more, etc. it normally stays between 2 and 3. I have used it as high as 4, but didn't find it ws any more comforable for me.
