Newbie question - Using CPAP with a cold

Post by kwa430 » Tue Nov 27, 2007 2:43 pm

I caught a bit of a cold and last night I was reminded that the nose bone is connected to the ear bone.

My ear started to hurt because of the pressure.

Can you use CPAP when you have a cold. Has anyone else had their ears bothered because of being congested?

All that I can say is that I use mine... otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep at all, which isn't good for getting over a cold.

Having a cold is yet another reason to have a full face mask available.

I use a comfort classic nose mask when I have a cold specially if I get a stuffy nose, nasal pillows are not so good when going through a cold.
