Swift Mirage...Different Nasal Pillows???

Post by beneyw » Fri Nov 16, 2007 6:36 am

This may sound nuts but after a year and a half (with taping) I have used this mask. I noticed one set of nasal pillows is quite noisy with the air rushing through a series of holes along the top whereas others do not have the holes and appear to function without all that air noise. Which type is the most current or can someone help with my belated observation of these differences?

The set of nasal pillows with the holes belongs to the original Swift. The set of nasal pillows without the holes belongs to the Swift II where the relief holes are in the frame.

You are completely sane but you should be using the pillows that go with the rest of your mask.

Thanks...dumb me...I just figured it out. I got the NEW mask from the DME last May but never noticed the "extra free" nasal pillows she gave me were for the OLD mask type. So, I just began to use the replacement pillows and when I heard all that air noise I knew something was screwed up. I just realized they are not interchangeable..

Thanks, I appreciate the slap on the head...lol..
