Like optilife want to try another mask

Post by Hoover » Fri Nov 09, 2007 10:16 am

Hello,

I have been using my optiife nasal mask very happily since mid-July. Apparently I am eligible for a new mask and I would like to try another.

I am a side sleeper
usefairly high pressure (15#)
not thrilled with the idea of a full face mask (hated it in the sleep study)

Thanks for any suggestions - you all have been absolutely terrific - I have told several people about this forum including my doctor who was surprised when I told him what I wanted,

I have used the Optilife mask and liked it . Then I tried the Resmed Swift II and I loved this mask. It is a little more noisy than most but it is extremely comfortable to me. My pressure is around 17 on ipap (bipap user here) and it is not a problem. I too am a side sleeper with no problems with this mask. YMMV

I have used the Optilife system and really liked it. I too have gotten a Swift and used it last night and really liked it and so am going to try if for a while. I like the light weight of these masks.

My all time favorite mask is the Comfortlite II. It's kind of similar to the Optilife but you don't have any straps touching your face. (No chin strap either.) My husband says it is kind of like sleeping with a Klingon but other than that, it's great! I'm a side sleeper and there's nothing really to get in the way of the nasal interface. I had traded with another board member for this mask and I love it! In fact, I have a brand new one as a backup just in case something happens to it. LOL (I also have an Optilife that I trade masks for but haven't had much of a chance to try it out yet.)
