sleeping under covers

Post by ddecan » Mon Apr 25, 2005 12:06 pm

One thing I like about my cpap, is that with the cold weather I can sleep totally under covers and still get fresh air, and breath fine. It is one of the best benefits of this machine. I read sailorboys quote "I think it makes me look like a dashing scuba diver, don't you?" and realized this is a great benefit. I might look like a dork with all that gear on, but I am warm.

That is also nice when someone turns on a light and you are still trying to sleep. Just pull the covers over your head and breath away!

Oh, hey, I never thought about it that way! It's kind of like having a snorkle

Though I do find myself tucking the arm nearest the hose under the blankets because the exhalation port air is a bit on the chilly side.

My wife refers to it as the coffin. Because of the cold air coming out of the mask, I pull the covers up to my chin, and my arms are crossed over my chest like I am laying in a coffin. Might as well be dead as I don't hear the kids at all at night...
