Question about air pressure and changing masks

Post by pippincat » Fri Nov 02, 2007 9:44 pm

I was using an OptiLife mask but kept getting nose bleeds. I tried increasing the humidifier but still got nose bleeds. So, my sleep doctor said I should change masks as my nose can't handle all the pressure from the the nasel pillows. So, tonight I will try my new mask, a Mirage Liberty.

I had my titration study to determine the pressure I need with the OptiLife mask. Is the pressure you need affected by the mask you use?

Thanks

No, the pressure is not affected by the mask. So you dont need to change anything on the machine.
