Me too! I went to a sleep doctor who is director of the sleep clinic for Eastern Virginia Medical School. I was shocked that he spent at least 45 minutes with me.
Took him a two month print out from my machine. I made him aware that I had changed to a CPAP Auto on my own. The old doctor had me titrated at 14. the gighest the Auto has gone is 13 and the 90% is 11.
He said that he rarely prescribes an auto titration machine but felt that in my case it was a good idea.
Very strange that he said that I should try to stay in bed half an hour less than I am now.

The Insomnia which was a real concern of mine, concerns him also He wants copies of my old sleep studies before making a treatment decision, He feels that exercising 20 minutes a day might help the insomnia. Meanwhile he is keeping me on the Ambien.

He said that he wished more people would participate in their own treatment. Because of the printout from the CPAP Auto he doesn't feel that another sleep study is called for.

I tried several ffm's and settled on the Quattro. They said they will continue trying masks until they find one that I don't need to tape my mouth with. Mouth taping is a big concern of his because of GERD and the possibility that a person could choke. He says that he is familiar with cases of patients who have choked to death from mouth taping. The tech doing the fitting really seemed to know what she was doing.

I just want to go back to sleep!
