Very interesting, thanks for the link. Yes the trick is not to inhale but to exhale. Get rid of all the air, just get rid of it, blow out all the "bad" air. Then let your body take in the good air by itself, without you forcing it. People try to inhale, when they should be doing just the opposite. By the way, that's also a good way to attract girls, Just be hard to get, and they will come to you. So do the same with air, and it will.

That sounds a little like Apnea. I was hoping they had found a way to vacume the rock dust, that's settled in my lungs from working behind a mine rock drill, guess not. Jim

Thank You Titrator, that was very interesting to know ,but I wonder if I could actually hold my breath for 10 seconds while awake It's strange that I don't feel myself stop breathing when i'm asleep but my DME says I quit sometimes from 30-50 seconds!!!

Ok, I will ask the obvious questions:

Has anyone here tried this?
Does it work?
I do so love to breath!

breathing

Interesting, when in the hospital they had me blowing into a device that had a small ball which rose in a tube. The higher the better, then exhale very slowly. They sent me home with it and I was good for a few days, and threw it away. Sounds like this lung exercise does the same thing without one more thing to clean. Regards

The difference is you won't have the guage to see your proformance. You probably were supposed to use it, I had to for two months, it insures you a better chance to stop congestion and lung infection, besides building up weak muscles. I know I hated it because it caused me to hurt really bad. Jim

Nah, you young whipper-snappers don't know good music when you hear it!!

Patsy Cline and Connie Francis are the epitome!

Yep, Slinky -- Patsy Cline is one of my top favorites.

I did try the lung "vacuuming" exercise just for the heck of it. Interesting. The air really does whoosh back into your lungs.
