Card Reader

Post by needels » Fri Sep 28, 2007 1:29 pm

Hello all,

I, too, am a newbie. I have a question about the smart card. I purchased the Resperonics A-flex machine. It has a smart card. If I purchase a card reader, will that tell me anything? Or do I need to couple it with the software that is not available? I feel so dumb!

Thanks

Categorically...."Yes" and "Yes".

Somewhere on the first few pages of the forum, there's a thread about Respironics releasing a patient/user version of the Encore Pro software.....word is it's going to be called Encore Viewer. It's supposed to be released in October.....

Lots of folks are waiting.

Den

I guess I will join in the wait.

In the meantime, I guess I should buy a card reader.

Thanks

I would wait on buying the card reader. I suspect that the online retailers will be discounting a reader with the software bundle. The reader currently sells for about $140, there is no reason it should sell for more than $50 -- I bought my Infineer online for about $40 including shipping; the place I bought it from is no longer selling them.
