My hubby has just been diagnosed and we are wondering if anyone knows of a good place to start pricing/trialing machines. We are from Brisbane in
QLD,and have been told the Salisbury clinic at Clontarff is good.Has anyone bought from there before??
Thanks.

One of the best things you can do, IMHO, is to start reading about the different features. Has he been diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea? Has he been titrated yet?

You can learn a lot about the process and what he's getting into from people and places that aren't trying to sell you something.

I can't give you a specific recommendation but I will dig out a list of the providers in the Brisbane area when I get home tonight so at least you know what your options are.

You should also take a look at the Sleep Disorders Australia web site at http://sleepoz.org.au/index.html SDA is a voluntary organisation with branches in each State, providing information and support to sufferers of sleep disorders and their families.

Cheers,

Bill

Welcome to the board, so-very-tired. There is so much good advice and information to be found here. I don't think I would have been so determined to succeed when I started out with this therapy 2 years ago, without reading the experiences of all these good people here.

I don't know about the Salisbury clinic, being in Sydney, but I hope your husband finds a good supplier in Brisbane. As others have said, read a lot so you can ask the right questions and make informed decisions. And keep asking questions here at cpaptalk.

Best of luck,
Barbara

The infomation I provided to so-very-tired on Brisbane sources of supply is not in a form which is readily postable here, but I can email it. PM me if you need it.

Cheers,

Bill
