Humidifier-Remstar M Series question

Post by debst99 » Thu Sep 13, 2007 9:42 am

I have the above humidifier and the air coming out the exhaust and the hose always stays cool even after a long night of being on. My DME says this is normal, as it is only suppose to moisturize the air. I thought they called them heated humidifiers. I have the humidifier set on 2 if that helps.
Thank you.

If you want warm air you need the Heated Hose. The heated humidifer has a heater at around 160 degrees max but by the time the water it hits hose it tends to cool down, this is why we sometimes get rain out in the hose. A hose cover also helps keep it warm. Pad-A-Cheek can fix you up with a hose cover.

I think a hose cover will solve many if not all of your problems. If you are unable to find a cover at Pad-A-Cheek you might want to try Snugglehose.com or better yet, Snugglehose covers are available at cpap.com for less money. Good luck!
