White Filters

I have some questions concerning the extra white filters for the RemStar Pro MSeries. Are they really necessary? A friend of mine said they are only needed for certain types of allergies but he did not say which ones. I am not even sure if I have it put in correctly as my DME had to deliver a new machine due to recall and it did not have one in so I had to use one from my supplies. Does the softside point out from the machine?

For the M series, Mesh side goes towards the machine. The smooth side faces out next to the foam filter.

I would use the white filter for pollen, dust, pet dander type allergies. Won't do one much good for medicine or food allergies. Maybe that is what your friend meant.

My plant allergies are worst this time of year so I also invested in a full face mask. I have not had to use it yet! I like to think that getting 7 hours of filtered air has helped.

I have no know dramatic allergies, but a sort of "allergic tendency". I decided to try a package of fine filters on my machine.

My AHI was lower, and when I saw how gray the became after about two weeks I decided it was worth it.

The fine filters are good for any kind of allergic reaction to things you breath.

Tips for inserting filters:

1. If you are using the disposable white filters, insert it into the filter area first, mesh-side facing in, towards the device.

2. Insert the gray foam filter into the filter area, on top of the fine filter.
