Below is a link to a picture of the Hybrid headgear (from CPAP.com).

Has anyone tried clipping the bottom back neck strap? It is very uncomfortable against the back of my neck. I like to clip that strap, so the upper straps can sit lower on my head.
If this does not work, any suggestions on putting the strap back together.

I really wouldn't... I feel like the bottom edge of the mouthpiece doesn't seal properly if the bottom strap of the headgear isn't tight enough. So I wouldn't want to cut it.

I ditched the straps from the Hybrid and used the headgear straps from my Ultra Mirage FF mask with the Hybrid clips. It is much more comfortable. I could not get the original headgear straps to seal the mask without cinching them really tight, which was very uncomfortable.

i trimmed the lower back strap so that it was thinner because it was giving me a neck ache.

Maryb, You left the strap intact, but trimmed it. Great idea.
Think I'll take the scissors upstairs tonight. I'll trim off the part that is rolling up and causing the irritation.
Thanks

I rotated the entire headgear up and forward on my head, bringing the bottom edge of the lower straps up off my neck.
I found that it gives me a more even pull towards my face with the mask and gets the darned headgear off of my neck.
Might be worth a try.

I used a strip of moleskin and put it on the back of the headgear. The bottom strap was irritating the back of my neck because during the night it rubs a lot. The moleskin solved this problem.

I've got mine almost entirely wrapped in stuff from padacheek... it works really well.
