I have searched in here and can't seem to find the right combination to ask who is already using the Respironics Auto BiPap SV.
I was fine with using it, but I admit, when the RT told me the next step is
Ventilation. That is a little scary. I hope it is a big step.
I would be curious to compare notes on how you like it, what things you don't like and so on.
I understand we only have a few people using it, but finding RTs that really understand it, past its basic set up is difficult. I am reading, reading and reading. For internet articles too.
Before I forget it, I was told Respironics will sell the Encore Pro to my DME and with a prescription, I can buy it. That is 1.8+ -- what ever is newest.
Anyone wanting the details of how all this happened so fast...email or PM me.

Installing Software is like pushing a rope uphill.

How do you turn the lights off?
First, I have both manuals and set my machine up myself. It works GREAT!
BTW, I did NOT use this machine the first night I had it. I worked with the settings for two or three days (at least)...make a change, lay down for an hour of TV to see how comfortable it was. EPAP 6, IPAP Min 9 and IPAP Max is 17 I think, it may be up to 20. I am moving it up REAL slow.
I think I told you I have Vocal Cord Dysfunction and when they slam shut, only Heliox gets through. So I closed myself off and would not let air in with the IPAP at 30. It pushed the Swift off my face. THAT is power. And those numbers are approximate. I have a lot of respect for the machine.
Again, I may have told you, but the BiPap Auto was slow to respond to my inhalations, this machine is faster than my inhalations. THAT is great.
Lights - I put the LCD monitor to zero like the manual says and all the lights stayed on. I turned off the 3 alerts I am allowed to turn off, but I want to turn off ALL sounds coming from the unit. Any ideas?
