I just picked up my Resmed Ultra Mirage full face mask, the third one now since I started therapy four weeks ago.
1st mask was F&P FlexiFit 432: hard on the bridge of the nose, actually peeled the skin away in a little spot
2nd mask was the Hybrid: much more comfortable, but the pillows seem to be slipping out of my nostrils.
3rd mask is the Ultra Mirage, just picked it up a few hours ago, have yet to try it.
How do you folks like the Ultra Mirage?
Jeff

UMFF
This is also my favorite. I have a high pressure (20) and this mask seals for me without having to be ratcheted down so tight that it leaves marks or is uncomfortable. I'm a mouth breather, and turn from one side to the other in the course of the night. I have learned from this forum that what works for one may be terrible for another. Good luck! Regards

Yes, out of the three full-face mask I have aquired, I rank them as:
1. Resmed Quattro FFM (my favorite)
2. Resmed Mirage FFM
3.F&P Flexfit 431
I have had problems with all of them, but Resmeds work better after a tweak or two.

Despite your bad experience I think you should try the F&P again. The problem you experienced on your forehead was probably caused by pulling the mask too tight. The same thing happened to me. Unlike the Ultra Mirage (I used it for 4 years) the F&P doesn't need such a tight fit to keep its seal. Once I discovered that it didn't take near the pressure on my face you would have to fight me to get my masik away from me.I used the Ultra Mirage thinking that it was the best I could do and that any mask was going to cause discomfort. Not so in my case.

The UMFF was the last straw on a string of failed masks that caused me to go non-compliant for 4 years -lol- Absolutely horrendous piece of junk - for me anyway Same old story, it either leaked like crazy or had to be so tight that it tore up my face (particularly the bridge of my nose).
That all said, masks are completely individual, so as long as it works for you that is *all* that matters!
