Liberty and clips...

Post by gorkon » Mon Aug 27, 2007 6:51 pm

I just got my Liberty and this will be my first night. Has anyone else noticed that the clips are a little difficult to get to stay some times? I gently bent the clip out a bit so it was wider and that seems to help. Anyone else have any isses with those clips??

yup, pretty shoddy manufacturing. I haven't solved the problem either.

Short First Night Review on the Liberty

Post by gorkon » Tue Aug 28, 2007 8:58 am

I'll post a more detailed experience later, but as I stated, the clips are the weak point. It's difficult to get them to stay, but once I got it, they held all night.

Sleep experience was a little rough as it is a different mask, however I have to say it definitely works MUCH better for me. I feel 100 percent different today in the morning then I did the day before. I don't feel groggy and I did some reading on the bus this morning and I didn't even get drowsy like I usually do. So I have to say the Liberty solved alot of things for me. I'll update this later.

I think I had it a little tight and I also had a little redness near my nares and upper lip, but as I am going through the day, it's going away. I had a similar experience when I started using my Swift II.

if your a mouth breather and can stomach the additional coverage (not claustrophobic) a full face mask or a hybrid like the Liberty ot Hybrid mask will definitely help. I have to come out against taping for myself. While many do it, it's not something for me. It may be ok for you, but I don't think it's something I'd recommend if I had a friend who was a mouth breather. I CAN recommend the liberty....I just hope ResMed can fix the clips a bit.
