Now THAT'S more like it..!!!
Linda, who now has her one dose of Liam, and looking for a second. Like potato chips and M&Ms......one is never enough ...!
For what it's worth, I just haven't found many topics lately that called to me to respond. I have, however, been doing a lot of writing (there are currently no less than 6 friday-humor-essays in the queue waiting to be posted over the next month and a half).
I'm still lurking, and will post when I feel I have something to say.
Liam. Where did you get the impression he talked when he had nothing to say? Oh, right, because he usually does.

You know me! I'll be reading!Liam1965 wrote: I have, however, been doing a lot of writing.....
Personally, I think you should be the literary spokesperson for sleep apnea. Write them articles and submit them somewhere so that millions can read them!
Picture this!
A whole magazine of Liam witicisms and comic outlook on sleep apnea, a magazine funded by those pesky cpap manufacturers, and distributed to EVERY GP waiting room in the country (doctors always get freebies, right?)....! People, who might not have even heard of OSA will read your funny remarks, and learn a thing or two about it. Then people would steal the magazine, and run home to their spouse or partner and say, "See? I bet you've got THIS!! You better get tested!"
Have I a vivid imagination or what??
....Or, you could always form an a cappella group and sing a sleep apnea slogan on TV....!
Or both!
How about it?
Linda

Magazine? how about a book. Then, Liam could go on a signing tour. Bring your CPAP to the book store and he will sign it for you. Wear your mask and you get 20% off the cover price of the book.
There would be lines around the building camping out waiting for his appearance. Imagine the extension cords running along the sidewalk for the campers to plugin to.
The book would be an instant best-seller -- one on every nightstand. If not for reading, it could be used to get your CPAP's to that perfect height to keep the rainout from forming.
Liam, please keep the posts coming; I find myself hitting the site just to see what you might have contributed since my last visit...

Nah. But this writing humor essays for my blog really has become almost a compulsion.
I really enjoy doing it, but it's odd how it works. I'll go for two or three weeks without any inspiration or feeling like I could create anything, and then BAM, in the last 48 hours I've written 5 essays (granted three of them were three parts of one very LONG essay, but still....).
I just want to get some more traffic to my site. I'd really love to have people start reading my weekly essays as a poor man's alternative to Dave Barry, while he's on hiatus for the year.
I may not be as funny, but at least I'm putting out new stuff.
Liam, by day DBW stands for database wrangler. By night, Dave Barry Wannabe.
