M-series pro w/cflex ALARM

Post by flylow » Mon Aug 13, 2007 8:55 am

I was woken up during night 4 with this unit and on cpap to a beeping alarm. The unit was running and my mask was on (mask alert is off) with no apparent leaks. There was no indication of what the alarm was on the display and no button would silence the blasted thing. I even turned it off and it was still beeping. Finally, I disconnected the power and then turned it back on and the beeping was silenced. Any ideas on what the alarm is about or how I can figure out what was in alarm?

Interestingly, when I fired it back up, I didn't use the ramp and the pressure didn't seem that high. I am set at 10 cm. Could it be that I am just getting used to it or that the unit is not making set point and that was the reason for the alarm?

Last piece of information. I have a heated humidifier and was set to 1 with plenty of water in the reservoir. I haven't searched the manual yet for an answer and hope someone here has experience with this problem. Thanks.

Dave

Was the smart card symbol flashing?

The second night I had mine it did the same and it was because the smart card needed to be pulled and re-seated. If the alarm goes off again, try pulling the card and putting it back in.

Now that you mention that, there was some icon blinking but I didn't know what it was. That must be it. Thanks.
