Woman Owned CPAP retailer - FREE SHIPPING

Post by Babette » Sun Aug 12, 2007 11:22 am

No, I'm not getting anything for pimping them.

http://mscpap.org/index.html

Just found this place surfing for a new chinstrap. Don't say it. Yes, I know, I need to get on that sewing project...

ANYWAY... Found this place, same price as everyone else online, and FREE SHIPPING!

Definitely worth looking into. I'll report if they do something I don't like, TRUST ME.

I also emailed them and told them, as a woman-owned business, they really ought to talk to the manufacturers about creating WOMAN SIZED MASKS!

Not to mention natural-fiber chinstraps...

I pointed out that we women cpap patients are frustrated, we are computer savvy, we buy things online, and we are willing to purchase cpap equipment OOP and not mess with insurance. A niche market is NOT being addressed.

Cheers,
Barbara

PS - Our host doesn't carry the chinstrap I bought. Could be they don't feel it's a good product. BreatheWear Halo:

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

interesting that they are using a non-profit .org domain name registration for their operation. That dot.org designation is usually reserved for non-profit, non-commercial use not a (.com) commercial site. You can use it for fund raising if the profits are destined to a charity organization.

that doesn't appear to be the case here, looks like to me these two white minority broads are abusing the system to the fullest extent claiming minority women owned business status.

Domain names are by no means uniform. I work for three non-profits that use the .com address.

Hey, Im the wrong gender, but I will go visit them and check them out since they live in my neighborhood.

Kevin... think about it - how many years (into infinity) have women been buying from 'the wrong gender'? I know you were joking, but it got me thinking (we do on occasion ) and I had to mention it.

Now, that would be a worthy endeavor! It's not only the size, but the way the face is configured. I tried on some FF masks, just to see, and they fit pretty strangely. (Maybe it's my large nares, ) I'm going to try the decapitated hybrid next time I have a weekend I can spare for it, because I really do want a backup in case I get sick and can't breathe through my nose.

Snoredog, I must be missing something here. Removing the possibility of using a non-profit domain registration (not verified), I don't understand your reference to "white minority broads" claiming "minority women owned business status". I don't see anything on their website that claims the owners are minority women.

That's way too much for the chin strap. It's said Women are paid 2/3 the money for the same work, and have to work harder to get it. It's plain to see they are overcharging for their products, due to the lower cost of producing their goods.

That is unless they only hire men to do the work! Jim

That is the MSRP. It is the same price the manufacturer offered to sell it to me. The manufacturer, however, doesn't have a click and ship website. They wanted me to EMAIL my visa info to them... No thanks!!!

Check that exact chinstrap out at any site. You'll see the same price everywhere.

Be sure you're comparing the BreatheWear Halo Chinstrap. There are MANY OTHERS out there, some at less cost.

Cheers,
B.
