What department does your sleep doctor work with?

Post by SanDigital » Wed Aug 08, 2007 12:28 am

I'm currently reading "Restless Nights" by Peretz Lavie, a historical overview of sleep apnea research. I was surprised to see how many different types of doctors became sleep specialists. So, now I'm curious...which medical department does your sleep doctor work under? (Mine is a neurologist.)

Mine is a pulmonologist/critical care sleep doctor. And you forgot to vote in your own poll!!!

I did find that I had to post a comment first before the poll would register my doctor's specialty.

I did vote, but the system doesn't seem to count it...

That's weird. It wouldn't take my vote w/o my posting a comment first, yet someone else was able to vote their doctor being a psychiatrist w/o posting a comment. CORNfusing!

My vote didn't "take" the first time either. My second vote--no I'm not in Chicago--did register. I voted for Psychiatry. I don't know if that's the department they're in technically, but the sleep clinic I went to is in the psychiatry building.

Doug.
