Two Nights So Far
Two Nights So Far
As of last Friday, I am the owner of a ResMed AutoSet Spirit with a heated humidifier. To the rest of the world this probably means nothing but, considering the way I have felt these past two mornings I think it's great. The comfort gel mask will probably have to go in the near future. I needed to talk to someone and I have bored my poor wife to tears. I spent a lot of time this morning discussing the dream from last night. That in itself is a milestone. I haven't dreamed in what seems like years.
I now understand why some of you guys speak so fondly of your machines. What a difference?

Jerry,
I'm so happy for you.
Although I still struggle with my machine, I do feel infinitely better than before. Such a big difference, right?
You have every right to feel thrilled. No doubt you probably felt plum miserable, and for quite a long time. Whenever I feel a little down, or things with my bipap don't go quite so right, I think back to just five months ago and how utterly exhausted I was during the day, how incapacitated I was and how my job was in jeopardy. No, I don't want to go back to that feeling ever.
Sounds like you are going to have every success right from the start. That's wonderful. But if you ever have a bad night (god forbid), just remember today's success and last week's misery. Should help immensely. Great with the dreaming thing! Was it a fun dream?
Keep us posted!

You mean the kind of dream you CAN'T tell your kids about?Anonymous wrote:It was a good dream. Unfortunately the kind you can tell your kids about!
Otherwise, it was about smurfs, or cartoon characters, or Harry Potter.
Somehow I don't think you meant them.
Psst! Don't tell anyone, but I woke to an odd dream this morning, odd enough to make me remember it and wonder what the heck?!? Liam was in my dream. No kidding! It was like he did a walk through, like in a movie, being very Grouch Marx-like.
Have you met our forum's Liam? He hasn't posted much lately, but everyone loves reading his rather funny posts, especially his one-liner endings. He posted his photo recently, so maybe that's why he waltzed into and out of my dream last night. But that's between you and me!

Hi jerryc and it's good to hear you're feeling the benefit already. Just remember how good it feels if you run into any setbacks.
By the way, Linda
I'd say a dream with Liam in it is one you wouldn't want to tell your kids about

Airsense 10 & Airfit N20
You're probably right about that. But I don't have kids, so I don't have to worry about that.littlebaddow wrote: By the way, Linda

I just don't want Freud analyzing THAT dream, you know?
Haha. Liam, the Groucho Marx of Linda's dreams.

Speak up anytime. I do have a complaint. I was "issued" a comfort gel. Must be the favorite of the good folks at the VA. I seen another post with the same mask issued. I have adjusted quite a bit and the bridge of my nose is still taking quite a beating. Besides that everything appears to be working great. My wife now complains the lack of snoring is waking her up. Go figure!

Hey Jerry.
Is your mask the kind you wear in your nostrils? Mine is and it isn't too bad, however I had a rough night last night. I could only wear mine for half the night. I am not sore from it, but it must not have been in as well as the first two nights. Your wife sounds like a funny lady. But I guess when you get used to a noice at night it must be hard to adjust for her also!!!!
