Question on performing search on forum

Post by lummusc » Mon Aug 06, 2007 5:16 pm

When I perform a search on the forum for something, for example, "Hybrid" since I want to see what people think of it, it brings up posts that don't seem to have anything to do with the Hybrid. I am wondering if when a person lists their mask at the bottom of their posts (where you fill it in on your profile) will any post by that person come up since they have "hybrid" in their profile?
It is making it kind of hard to filter through all the stuff. But, maybe their is an easier way that I don't know about?

If you leave the "search by topic" selected (that's the default) you can get badly lost - the post metionining the Hybrid could be somewhere in page 9 of a 10 page topic.

I find searching much easier when I ask to search "by posts".
