First night readings from machine

Ok i just looked at my readings off my S8 Vantage Auto pap for my first night. Now i was using a cpap at 13cm till last night.

Press 16.2 Leak 0.06 l/s AHI 5.2 AI 1.1 HI 4.1

So whats this mean? My pressure was a lot higher it seems. It was the best night in a long time. It was also the first time i have taken a sleeping pill also that the doc wanted me to try. Slept 8 hrs. Only woke one time. No dreams. Woke up ready to get up and do things...

If you woke up feeling ready to do things, it means your therapy is working. Congratulations!! Your AHI is slightly high. It should be below 5. Your are having more hypopneas than apneas. I thinkk that is pretty common. My data shows more hypopneas that apneas each night.

You're doing great! I wouldn't complain about a 5.2 AHI but we'd all rather see the AI be less. (AHI = AI = HI).

Keep in mind that that 16.2 pressure was just the 95th percentile meaning you spent 95 per cent of the night at a pressure of 16.2 OR LESS.
