Hi all. I've been searching through the forums and, even though I thought I saw something on it before, I can't seem to find it now. So please pardon if this has been covered before.
I just got a Bravo 2 days ago. I like pretty much everything about it. My only 2 issues after 2 nights are:
1) I'm having trouble finding a good way to set it up for side sleeping, but that's just a matter of fiddling with it enough.
2) Once my CPAP ramps up to pressure, 1 side's pillow squeaks like a little doggie toy when I exhale. I finally swapped back to my old mask last night when I couldn't put up with it any more. I've changed pillow sizes and fiddled with the pillow angles to the point of high frustration. I REALLY want this one to work! Any ideas?
Bravo Squeaks
Re: Bravo Squeaks
I've had some luck stabilizing the mask for side sleeping by adding an extra strap made from a tights leg (the pantyhose tights kind). Here's a link to a description of it with some pictures illustrating it:hwwhitehead wrote:Hi all. The squeak might be a mini leak around the nostril, I think I've had that once or twice. I do like the Bravo, but am still working to make it as good as it can be.
Trying the hose in the various positions might help, too.
The other thing for side sleeping is to get a good pillow. I got one for $20 that is slippery synthetic down. It works better than what I had before that. I'm going to try the papillow from cpap.com next. It's expensive, but I figure that I sleep on it every night, so if it works better, I'll be really happy.
