Sleep and hormones & weight

Post by Snoredog » Wed Jul 25, 2007 1:48 pm

Seen a NBC story on leptin and ghrelin and sleep, hormones that control weight gain.

doing a search on "leptin and ghrelin" +sleep may help you understand how sleep plays a part in weight control. Study showed you need to sleep at least 6 hours to secrete these hormones in the stomach, if not you wake up tired and hungry (according to the NBC report).
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

Let's hope that is right... it would be a super bonus! but I suspect lots of bunny food is likely in the mix.. sigh!

I discovered this myself. I have woken up RAVENOUS my ENTIRE life.

Now, I can go until lunch without even thinking of food. Certainly is disconcerting to have my son ask for lunch when i realize I haven't even had breakfast yet, just a cup of jo.
