Hmmmm.... just thinking out loud...
Suppose that a torrent was going to be available soon. Would anybody care to offer any insight with regards to the following:
  • What is Bit Torrent?
    What software do you need?
    What hardware do you need?
How proficient must one be with a computer to utilize this tool?
Do I have to upload as well as download, and how does this work?
Where would I go for more information?
It's inevitable that this discussion take place, we might as well get it started.

I'm very well versed in using Bit Torrent. I just thought that it would be a good topic in the event that the good users of this board found themselves in a situation where they might need to utilize it.

I'm just trying to get the conversation started.

Torrent needs seed

It looks like someone did post a torrent on Pirate Bay, but now there are no seeders, just a dozen peers with 200mb of the 600mb torrent. Could the poster re-seed for a while?
