How to switch from weekly to daily data on ResMed

Post by vmitchell » Wed Jul 04, 2007 12:10 pm

I have a ResMed S8 AutoSet Vantage. I can get weekly data but want to monitor daily. Anyone know how to adjust for this?

Press the Left and Right buttons down at the same time and hold them for 3-4 seconds. Efficacy Data will appear on the LED screen. Press the Left button to Enter. The first data is the average for that night (as long as you check BEFORE noon). These machines work on an internal 24 hour, noon to noon, clock. If you check after noon on any given day, the previous night's data has been rolled over into the total averages.

Still no daily data

Thanks for the quick reply. When I followed your directions I get a "no data" reading. I'm wondering if this machine simply doesn't compute by the day.

Well, where are you located?? I assume it is after 12 noon where you are?

I have a Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage as well as an S8 Elite and it works for me with both machines.

Well, then, whoever set up your machine didn't set the correct time. I'm not at liberty to tell you how to access the Clinician's Menu where the capability to set the time is accessible. Take it back to your DME supplier and ask them to set the CORRECT time on your machine.

I am assuming that you DID use your Vantage last night?

I am currently using the VPAP III but had an S8 Escape prior.
I think I remember them being set-up very similarly. When you access the efficacy data, I believe by pushing the left button you can change the interval you are viewing - daily, week, month and year. Maybe it is click the right button to change and the left button to set.
Yours is probably set to default to weekly. Send me a PM, if you have trouble, and I'll crank up the S8 and see if I can find the settings.

Slinky is right... your machine is not set to the correct time.

You have to go into the clinicians menu to make changes to time, settings, and data options.

If you find yourself in there, be sure that you do not change anything you don't want to change unless you write down your previous settings first or know exactly what it is you are changing.
