THE NEW APAP'S HERE! I'M SOMEBODY NOW!

Post by Babette » Mon Jul 02, 2007 12:47 pm

Remember Steve Martin in "The Jerk"?

THE NEW APAP'S HERE! THE NEW APAP'S HERE! I'M SOMEBODY NOW!

That's how I feel.

Oh will this day never end??? I want to go to bed!!!!

God Bless Johnny Goodman and His Breath-O-Lettes at CPAP.COM! Got here lickety split, no hassles, no stress, no nothin'. Even got the hyper-effecient email telling me they'd received my fax 3 seconds earlier. That was kinda scarey... But I'm very willing to get used to good service!!!

Blissfully Yours,
Babette

PS - The Insurance called and said they'd beaten the DME down into changing the purchase back to a rental agreement. Now I just have to figure out the least stressful way for me to return the current cpap machine to them... I'm thinking Certified Mail...

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

WOOHOO!! Congrats and welcome aboard!

As far as returning your old CPAP, I would think taking it by in person would be best. And be sure to get a signed and dated receipt for the return!

After all, getting a new CPAP from cpap.com is great, having it arrive quickly is wonderful, but seeing the look on your DME's face when you tell 'em where to stick their CPAP....PRICELESS!! LOLOL

Best of sleep to ya!

Kajun

Thanks guys!!!

Hey Den, what's the hand sign for "Breathe Long and Prosper?"

I've toyed with going in in person, but it's making me lightheaded. Maybe I need a bodyguard to go with me... OOOO!!!! IBTeri, you wanna go in and be mean to Tony with me? (She hates them too)

LOL,
B.

Congats!

For the rental retrun ... you could always do the drive-by where you chunk it through the window.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Hey Babbette, If you are referring to Tony at BM Tacoma, Kent and Lynnwood, I was already mean to him.. He hated it, and I got loads of satisfaction. Please don't miss the oppertunity to p_ss off the big ape.

Congrats!!

I'm working on the same thing. My DME insists that to get a machine that gives me anything more than compliance data it requires a prescription. They actually stopped returning my calls over it.

Well, I have a followup appointment with the sleep clinic on Friday. Hopefully I can get what I really need!

Babette, Babette, Babette, Why oh Why would you want to miss out on the face to face confrontation when you tell your DME that you got exactly what you wanted with no hassle. The look of confusion and disbelief that comes over their face as you hand them back the rental could well be ... priceless.
then you'll probably get the ol' "You did what!? How dare you take charge of your own therapy!"

And then finally (with apologies to Margaret Mitchell)...

"Where am I going to go? What am I going to do?"

At which point you step forward, shoot them the ol' Clark Gable grin and say...

"Frankly, my DME, I don't give a ..." well you get the picture.

Dont deprive yourself of this pleasure.

Hmmm, how about sending it through the US Mail as a certified letter. I am sure the fun smashing it into little enough pieces to fit in an envelope will be well worth it.

Just a thought.

Oooo!!!! Mark! You're edging out Roberto (OOPS! I mean Val Kilmer) on my Love Chart!

Hey CJ, can I hire you as my muscle? Cash? Beer? Masks? I'm scared of Big Bad Tony...

Jefe, I'm PM'ing you two letters - one to get the APAP from the doc, one to complain about my DME. I got the template from another forum member here, who let me plagiarize him nonstop. You go right ahead.

Turned out I didn't NEED the doc letter. I got it. I just asked. Poof! Done! Apparently I'm Cinderella and didn't know it...

Hugs all around,
B.

Babette, Please take a picture of Tony when you give him back the machine. I would love to see the look on his face!
