Water leaking from CPAP machine

Post by galofcpapguy » Fri Jun 29, 2007 11:46 am

I am new to the site and my sweetie is using the Respironics Remstar Plus M series with heated humidifier. The machine works great and he is getting the best sleep he has had in years but when he gets up in the morning the table top where the machine sits is wet!!!! The machine is about 6 inches below his head. Is this a case of severe rainout?? I have sent an e-mail to the folks at cpap.com but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same problem.

Thanks,
gal of cpap guy

Dear John M,

Thank you very much for the link , I just checked the tank and it has the number 2 stamped on it. I am not sure about the manufacture date but the
"2 "on the lid is enough reason for us to request a new tank from cpap.com

Thanks again,

He's a lucky guy to have you looking out for him.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Just to be safe, I ordered a replacement "M series" humidifier chamber for $29.99 from an online cpap outfit. I noticed they also sold both the upper and lower gaskets for $4.99 each.

Cheap "leak insurance"....

We just swapped our old tanks for new ones last week. I was told by the tech that tanks they sent out earlier this year had that problem. The new tanks are much easier to close and the seals stay put. No more puddles!
