Hi
I just got my machine yesterday and wish i had read this forum first. They give the REMstarPlus M series with c-flex and heated humidifier.
My pressure is at 14.0 with the c-flex at 3 and a 20 minute ramp I had a much better nights sleep last night with no nap today.
This machine is on rental now as (Aetna) wants a trial period before purchase. I don't know if I'm locked into this one or not. I would like some feedback on this machine. I know i don't care for the big power supply.
Also I will most likely have to make a couple of trips to Mexico in the next year. And may want to consider this when getting a machine. Is It hard to get through customs with this machine.
Thanks James
Another new guy

I don't travel much so I will leave that response to those who do.
Your Plus machine is very basic. If it si in rental phase, you are not stuck with it. Fight for a better machine, one that provides efficacy data is better ... one that provides auto functionality is best. Remember it is your apnea condition, your treatment, your money, your life ... don't let the DME railroad you into cheap machine so they can make an extra buck at the expense of your health.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
I've taken my CPAP to Mexico (Cancun) twice without any problems but haven't had my luggage searched. Both times I just checked the machine through in my luggage; a carry-on might be a different story. There are special medical equipment tags you can buy (cpap.com carries them) that might help.
Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.

Welcome to the group!
Personally I'd look at the new Auto with Aflex or a BiPap if I where you. At a minimum get one that had detailed data recording.
Cheers, -James

A machine's size had nothing to do with its data gathering capabilities.
Following the results of you own therapy is a must - which is why you shouldn't stick with the Remstar Plus.
As for size - Puritan Bennet's machine's are smaller and lighter - and I think some of ResMed's too. PB's don't show you any data on the LCD, but you can buy software for them. You can get info about the size weight and capabilities of the different machins on cpap.com.
Respironics' M and ResMed's do show data on the LCD - however the Respironics Plus will not gather and not show the data we as patients care about: the breathing data.
Compliance (how many hours you've slept with the machine) is necessary for the insurance compay to justify the expense buying you a machine - but is not enough data for a tracking how the machine effects your breathing while you're using it.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.
