I just spoke to the sleep lab about my results and it came back to be moderate sleep apnea - 27.6 "occurances" an hour. They said my pressure was to be 11 cm of pressure.
They are sending my preliminary results to the Dr. today.
Now on to the DME - I hope that they don't give me any grief, my insurance is great I am told by the sleep lab. My ins covered all the sleep study at 100%.
Thanks for all the encouragement. My wife has been doing lots of research for me. She is also a member here...Christy223.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
Ron
Just got the results back from my sleep study - newbie
Good luck,
It might take a couple of days to get a machine it was a month before I got mine. If they try to saddle you with a straight cpap, ask for one with cflex or aflex to begin with. Or Ask the Dr. for a prescription and buy it on line

Welcome Ron and Christy!
How nice that you're both using this resource. It can be overwhelming, and if the whacky mask alteration ideas come from Christy, she's not allowed to laugh at them!
My advice is to not walk out of the DME's with a machine you're not happy with. Also, try on as many masks as they'll let you - while lying down.
Good luck, and post your progress.
Take Care,
Cathy

You Guys are great!
I am so proud of myself. Sleep study done on Fri and Sat....got results from sleep lab sent to Dr on Monday. Dr. sent signed orders back on Monday to sleep lab. Spoke to sleep lab this morning (Tue) and they already had Ron's packet to the DME. I called the DME tody and they were putting a rush into the insurance copy for the approvals that they need. I told the DME that I would call Wed morning to see where we were with the ins company.
My goal is to have Southern Medical (DME) here by Friday. I know this is a long shot but hey I have had great success so far!
I have learned so much from this forum, that I just sound like I know what I am talking about when I call all these people. hehehe
I am praying that we get a good mask!!
Thanks again,
Ron's loving wife Christy
