ResLink

Suggest you look around at some of the web sales sites - Don't think a ResLink costs $1500.

I know, before the ResMed change in internet sales, I bought one for about $200.

Great link - these things (the VPAP version) cost $AUD860-$AUD960 here in Australia.

This model uses the older Smart Media card vs there perhaps being a newer Reslink that uses the new S8 datacard. Am not sure on this though as I get conflicting info from Resmed's resellers on this. I plan to go direct to Resmed & ask them once I can get a reliable contact there.

Restating ...
I was told by Resmed help line that there *is* a Reslink that works with the S8 range. There web site 'seems' to confirm it. But, 2 Resmed agents here gave me the opposite advice but were mumbling & clearly not sure. One said yes then when I asked for details said no. The other said Vpap style devices only. The ir confusion may be because the device had only just come out & they don't sell many (at the price here, am not surprised).

Lubman,

Did the Reslink you purchased, come with the SpO2 probe ? - if yes or no do you know if it is Nellcor compatible ?

Also did it have a serial port (allow a serial cable to connect) or is the serial port on the Vpap still used even when a Reslink is attached ? (AFAIK the Reslink plus into what looks just like a PC VGA socket)

Did you get your self a card reader fort the smart media card ? - do you even need a card reader (just get all the data via serial connection /)

Thanks
