Greetings all,
I have been reading posts here for about a month while I fought tooth and nail with Anthem and my Sleep Center to get CPAP. Your advice has been incredible and yesterday I finally was able to take my rig home and managed to sleep almost entirely through the night with it.
This is what the DME hooked me up with:
Machine: Resmed S8 Elite (she upped me to this from one without the EPR)
Humidifier: Resmed Humidaire 3i
Mask: Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillow (already had a Fisher and Paykel from the titration study)
Setting: 9 (Ramp at 4)
My results: First night it was pretty difficult to get to sleep with the pressure, (since the DME wouldn't enable the EPR until my doc authorized it) and I woke up pretty frequently for one reason or another (not apneas though), but I have to say that the sum result was pretty impressive, I am far more alert and the people at work are saying I look less pale than usual, so yay!
Anyways, it's good to find such a wonderful community of people going through the same thing I am.

My first night on the sauce!
Welcome to the forum, Lee and it's great to know we have helped!
Yeah, "sauce" is a great word for oxygen! LOL
Keep us posted on your progress. Oh yeah, you might want to not use the ramp if it starts at 4 cm. Most folk find that 4 cm is too low to feel like you're able to breathe! A starting pressure of 9 cm (which is your titrated pressure) should be pretty comfortable for you all night.
Again, congrats!
