Does anyone know what the leak rate should be for an ultra mirage nasal mask not the the full face? I've tried finding it online but can't find any info. I just recently upgraded to a M-Series Pro and can finally track my numbers so have been doing some experimenting. My pressure is set at 11. I first tried my FP HC432 which I've been using for like 6 months now only to find that this mask was horrible. Leak rates in the 80's and AHI of 5-7. I then tried my hybrid. Much much better. Leak rate down to 56 should be 50 I believe ad AHI dropped to between 1.5 - 2. Next I tried my ultra mirage which was the original mask given to me by me DME way back when. I never really used it because I cant seem to keep my mouth shut at night. I decided to try tape. The med tape didn't work for me so I switched to duct tape. I just tear off about a 1.5 inch wide strip and it works great. Not ideal but it works. Also tried the polident trick last night and it worked as well but was a little distracting. Anyhow with the ultramirage I'm getting a leak rate of about 36 was just wondering if thats normal. Good news is I'm on my 4th day of using the mask and first 2 days AHI was 0 3rd night it was .1 and last night .4. So it seems this is the most effective treatment for me. Oddly though I can see that the Hybrid and the Ultra Mirage are giving me better numbers I definitely feel less rested using them as well. Wierd but hopefully that works itself out. I don't have any charts to post as I'm still waiting for my card reader to show up but just wondering if I'm in the right range for that mask or am I still mouth breathing a bit at night.
