Is there anyone out there that has multiple sleep disorders? My Dr. says I have; sleep apnea, idiopathic hyper somonlessness, and narcolepsy. The nurse practitioner says she doesn't understand how I function on a day to day basis. They have helped me out a lot. I am on meds because of all the sleep disorders. anyone else out there facing more than one sleep disorder?
sleeping disorders
dogslife, you have my deepest sympathies! Man, it must be tough!
There's another site, talkaboutsleep.com (can I mention that site here??) that has forums for multiple categories of sleep disorders. You might be interested in cruising over there because they have tons of info on stuff other than sleep apnea.
Best of luck!

there are many people on these boards who have multiple sleep disorders
i, myself, have mixed sleep apnea, periodic limb movement disorder and fibromyalgia...i've been on cpap for 5 months and i take 'requip' for the plmd...i manage the pain of fibromyalgia with massage and chiropractic...so far i still feel like hell but i'm trying to stick with it
i've heard many times over from people who sleep well and feel well that they don't know how i not only function but live a fulfilling rewarding life with little rest and constant chronic pain, but though i am profoundly grateful for all that i have, which is so much that it can sometimes feel like an embarrassment of riches, i still feel guilty and ungrateful because i often wonder what life would be like if i was just like everyone else
i'm sorry that you're struggling so much...lots of people here can definitely relate and commiserate
best to you
