Passed two "mile markers" on the same night

Post by Wulfman » Mon May 14, 2007 2:55 pm

I was considering a modified version of Babette's title to her recent post.....

"Kept that sucker on my face for two years - Yay me!"

But, I decided to come up with a different title for the thread instead.

In any case.....
Today is the 2nd anniversary of my starting CPAP therapy AND, coincidentally, last night I passed 5000 hours of "recorded" therapy in MyEncore. That supposedly averages out to 7.0 hours per night.
I started using Encore Pro and MyEncore at the same time I started therapy and all the downloads go back to 05/14/05.....so I know it's pretty accurate. There were a few naps that I removed the card and there was ONE night that I forgot to put the card back in the machine.....so the total hours are a little shorter than what they could be.....but still pretty close.

I realize that 2 years is a small number when compared to some of you who have been doing this for upwards of 20 years. I won't mention names because I might leave somebody out, but you know who you are and I want to thank all of you who were contributing to the forum about 2 years ago when I discovered this place and started trying to absorb as much as I could about this medical condition I was told that I had.

One of the things I found out, early on, was that no matter what problems you're experiencing......there are others who have probably experienced it, too. (no matter how weird you think it is)

I'm also thankful that I started my therapy at a time when the technological aspect of this seemed to be starting to mature......read that "XPAP machines that record data, breathing relief (C-Flex/EPR), software availability, Internet forums, online information and online equipment sellers".
I KNOW all of those factors helped me get off to a good start with my therapy.

For all of you new "Hoseheads" out there, all I can say is stick with it.

Best wishes,

Den

Congratulations Den! You're my hero...

I knew I had done a good thing when I found this site. I am hoping I'll be where you are in two years with the support of everyone here.

Den,

Wow, that's a lot of hours. I haven't even broke 1000 in all this time. (I'm bad.) Your diligence is an inspiration. Congrats!

Way to go Den!

I'll be slowly catching up to you though
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
