My poor husband I feel so sorry for him...

Post by Fruitloop » Wed Mar 23, 2005 7:10 am

I woke up to yet find my poor hubby sleeping on our sofa but yet once again. When I asked him what the problem was he looked at me thru blood shot eyes and said "I truly do not mean to hurt your feelings but your snoring and noises are driving me nuts" and I can not sleep! My question is that once I get the CPAP will this all stop? The choking noises, the snoring? He said it is so bad that I could wake the dead. Now I know that is NOT funny but just the way he said it made me laugh, but he did not see any humor in it at 5 AM this morning. What is worse is that I have no idea or knowledge that I am doing this.

Fruitloop,

Please see your doctor immediately and schedule a sleep study. Your symtoms sound like Obstructive Sleep Apnea, but this must be determined by a professional. Don't wait. Your health is at stake. If your experience is anything like mine and many others, your snoring and "noises" will cease, and you (and your husband) will have the best night's sleep you ever had. If you experience any minor setbacks or issues, persevere! Don't give up, it is worth it!

Good luck!
Eric

Oh boy! Does this sound familiar. I got kicked out of my bedroom! Go to the doctor and sleep study as soon as possible. The small amount of noise that comes from a machine is nothing compared to the noise we make without it. Not to mention how scary it is if we don't get help.

It will get better.

Yes, for me the snoring and gasping, etc., all ended with my CPAP humming a solo all night long.....

Making a joyful noise, with my CPAP

Yes

My wife is a light sleeper, so my snoring & snorting had been a bone of contention for sometime

Now it's not The quiet hum of the machine and gentle whooshing noise of air is never a problem and the snoring/snorting a thing of the past.
